Our Story
Shervin and Victoria met in Buffalo, NY in 2018. Victoria, was a medical student and Shervin was beginning his third year of urology residency. Their hectic schedules proved troublesome for scheduling a first date—they spoke for weeks before going out! After a few coffee dates, Shervin was determined to make an impression. He asked Victoria to join him on a “little weekend trip to do some hiking”. Victoria was intrigued—she agreed to join. Little did she know their real first date would be at the Grand Canyon!
Shervin and Victoria moved in together a year later and adopted a kitten, whom they named Isabel. Following graduation, Shervin left for fellowship in Texas while Victoria moved to New York City to begin residency. Victoria would spend her post-call days at Central Park going for runs and FaceTiming Shervin. On Shervin’s second visit home, he surprised Victoria with a “scenic walk to brunch”, where he instead proposed to her at Hernshead on The Lake at Central Park. Shervin returned home shortly after fellowship, joining Victoria and Isabel, reuniting their little family.
Shervin is presently a Reconstructive Urologist at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine.
Victoria is completing a research fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Isabel has a full-time job looking after her new (fur)baby brother, Archibald (Archie).
